Palimpolis: a daily city map puzzle

The map starts blank. Reveal next uncovers layers from least to most telling, or tap any layer to pick your own.

Every city has the same layers, so some come up empty. That's a clue too.

You have three guesses, no matter how many layers you reveal. Your score is layers plus guesses: lower is better.

A wrong guess draws an arrow pointing toward the answer.

Stuck? A hint tells you the country. In the US, Canada, Mexico and Australia, a second hint then tells you the state or province. Hints count like layers.

Tap a revealed layer to hide it, and again to bring it back. That's free.

Most maps are 30 km across. Big cities are shown wider and small towns closer, so check the scale bar. North is always up. Tap the map to zoom.

Give up shows the answer and counts as a loss.

Random replays a past day's city. It doesn't affect your stats.
